Tipperary County Council: November Was Planned; the Default Changed in February
An anticipated start date is not the same as the implementation date. At the Council meeting of 14 October 2024, Liam Brett said Phase 1 would begin in November and that signs were being centrally procured. The January 2025 minutes instead identified 7 February for the rural-local-road change. The Department of Transport’s release confirms that the 80-to-60 km/h default change took effect on 7 February 2025. This sequence establishes a difference between the October timetable and the eventual start; it does not establish why the timetable changed. Our question is which dated instruction records the move from the anticipated November start to February implementation.
